From Conflict to Collaboration
Conflict arises from differences in positions, needs, values, and perceptions. Regardless of its origins, it is essential for us to take action to resolve potential problems. Conflict itself is not the primary issue. In fact, creating an environment that promotes healthy disagreement enables the exchange of knowledge and ideas and ultimately leads to better decisions and innovation.
How we deal with conflict determines whether we nurture or damage relationships. Conflict resolution skills enable us to set aside personal differences and explore possibilities that benefit both parties. They enable us to move from confrontation to collaboration through a logical conflict resolution strategy.
